Mat had been concocting delicious sauces, ferments and spice mixes for years, so in an attempt to get to know their community better, they started selling them at their local market in Paekākāriki. With an overwhelmingly positive response, they decided to do more. With Lydia’s background in graphic design and their shared love of great food, they thought this would be a wonderful way to utilise their individual skills and passions to create something beautiful together. They draw inspiration for their flavours from the diverse culinary landscape of Aotearoa, blending the best of local flavours to make every dish enjoyable.
