Our brand pays homage to this little superstar. We celebrate them not only in our name and on our label but we also donate 1% of profits to support the establishment of beehives. We are committed to our craft – ensuring that each botanical is hand prepared, allowing their flavours to slowly infuse and harmonise to create a stunning small batch gin that proudly carries the Humdinger brand. Two cultures, one bottle. Hayden met Adrian in 2018, and shortly after, met mezcal in a bar in Mexico City. A staple of Mexican culture, the vibrant, versatile beverage can be found everywhere; around a fireplace, on the beach, at dinner parties. It was something Adrian had grown up with, but was a new experience for Hayden, giving the couple an opportunity to bring it back to the Land of the Long White Cloud. The heart of the agave, the piña, is cooked in much the same way as it has been for the last 200 years - similar to a hangi. The juices are then fermented and distilled, resulting in a unique, smoky, earthy flavour profile. |
