For every bar sold, we donate 1% toward cleaning up the ocean. We're a family-run, bean-to-bar chocolate company. We make chocolate starting with cocoa beans and process them all the way through to finished chocolate bars. We work with different origins all over the world – our approach is a lot like wine or coffee where each origin has a unique and interesting flavor. We start with some of the best cacao in the world and sort it three times to remove impurities. That way we only make chocolate with the best of the best ingredients. Our mission since day one has been to help protect the ocean. From our tape, labels, and boxes to our shipping insulation and bar wrapper, our packaging pieces are either compostable, biodegradable, or recyclable. |

Based in Atlanta, Georgia, I continue to carefully manage all aspects of the business with frequent trips to New Zealand and lots of time video conferencing. The pristine environment of New Zealand is world-renowned. Our cropping sites are mostly surrounded by native forests, and they are remote even by New Zealand standards. Our honey comes from the Taranaki region and we believe that the microclimate of this region contributes to the superior taste of our honey. Our bees are looked after carefully to maintain the health and strength of each colony year-round.
