Meat Products |
Magills was originally opened in Te Awamutu by Mr Magill in 1939. A young man who immigrated from war stricken Netherlands named Adrian Van Der Hoeven began working for him not long after. When Mr Magill sadly passed away, Mrs Magill offered the business to Adrian, which he purchased off her. Since then, Magills has been proudly family owned and operated. One of the twins in the above image is Mike Van Der Hoeven, the current director alongside two of his sons, John & Edward. Mike's grandchildren have started working part time in the school holidays, truly family owned & operated. From wholesale to home kitchen, Magills supply only the best of New Zealand Hereford Prime Beef, Lamb, Waratah Duroc Pork & Poultry. We also specialise in our award-winning slow cooked meat range, traditionally handcrafted smallgoods, with our Vandy's range of dry cured bacon and gourmet sausages. |

Cider |
Inspired to make Morningside a better place to live, and by the love of a cheeky pun, The Cider Barons & Baroness decided to make what some consider to be the most bad-ass cider in the land. Coming from the neighbourhood that always looks on the bright cider life, we’ve found the in-cider information on juicing those local apples into something very a-peel-ing. From cheeky puns right through to our tasty drops, THIS IS HOW WE LIKE DEM APPLES. |
