He started experimenting a few years later and showed his pal Jamie. He got hooked real quick too. They hatched a plan, drew a picture of a cartoon bee and Dr. Sting’s was born. Dr. Sting’s is a no bulls**t hot honey. No chilli extracts, no added sugar, no stabilisers or thickeners. Just 100% blossom honey, organic chillies and high quality apple cider vinegar. After years of buying chilli oil from local supermarkets, Yok Chan decided to create her own version at home, blending influences from Chinese, Malay, and Sri Lankan cuisines. The product gained popularity among friends and family, leading to its distribution in local shops and market stalls. Despite challenges during the COVID-19 pandemic, the brand has evolved from a side hustle into a small business, celebrating heritage and diversity through its unique chilli oil. |
