At Hollow Leg, we are a motley crew of winemakers and wine lovers. We drink wine because we like the taste ... we also sometimes drink too much! After one too many mornings after, we started looking for a non-alcoholic wine that made taking it easy easier, but the experiences we had were so disappointing, so flavourless, so joyless .... How hard could it be!?.... Meet Pablo This is where Pablo came in. A young, forward-thinking winemaker, he is also a classically stubborn Galician who simply couldn’t accept the tasteless taste of non-alcoholic wine and he decided to do something about it! The seeds of his idea, derived from generations of organic family winemaking, took five years of persistent tweaking to come alive. His revolutionary approach utilises elements already found in the grapes & processes native to wine making. The result is a non-alcoholic wine, made with organic ingredients, that preserves the mouthfeel, taste and aroma of the premium grapes while removing the need for weird chemicals, added sugar or unusual flavourings. An alcohol free wine revolution When our first bottles were ready, we shared them with our favourite sommeliers, chefs and discerning drinkers. We were confident we had something very special, but the response blew us away: “nice wine”. Our obsession has been to make non-alcoholic wines that can change people's perception of what's possible in taste, happily when you make things the right way they are good for you as well. A 150ml glass of Hollow Leg has only 0.3 grams of sugar and 6 calories. Don't accept less It seems whenever we want to be healthy or responsible, we have to give up something we love, and to us that feels pretty uninspired. Having spent a fair few summers in the vines and cellars of Marlborough, we decided it was time to challenge what NZ wine could be. Made with wine that's crafted right here in Aotearoa, and blended with fruit juice picked by those who know their apples from their oranges - Zangria is a refreshing blend crafted with a whole lotta soul. Thanks for being part of the journey! When less is often seen as more, Zangria has decided to bring back one key ingredient - SOUL. It's in everything that we do - from the care of every grapevine, to the selection of real fruit juice in every sip. It's the sore cheeks after a night of laughs, or the celebration after a job well done. It's never perfectly manicured or polished but it's the most important ingredient for life well lived. |

Vi er stolte av å produsere våre prisvinnende viner på en økologisk og transparent måte, med en enkel ingrediensliste og rene, ærlige smaker. Hemmeligheten ligger i førsteklasses råvarer og håndverkstradisjoner, kombinert med en innovativ og skånsom metode for å fjerne alkoholen – uten at det går på bekostning av kvaliteten. 1. Chardonnay- og Tempranillo-druer høstes i Spanias La Mancha-region, en av Europas eldste og største vinregioner. 2. Druer transporteres til vingården hvor de gjennomgår en prosess kalt 'Whole Cluster Press' kjent for å lage en mindre snerpende vin. 3. Druejuicen dekanteres deretter over i rustfrie ståltanker hvor de gjennomgår naturlig gjæring. Dette fortsetter til vinen når en delikat balanse. 4. Vinen vakuumdestilleres deretter ved under 25°C, slik at alkoholen fjernes uten å skade de delikate smakene og aromaene. Denne prosessen gjør det mulig for ALT. å bevare vinens karakteristiske smak, syre og munnfølelse uten kompromisser. 5. Vinen gjennomgår deretter en filtreringsprosess for å fjerne organisk materiale ytterligere, og blandes så med litt økologisk sukker for å skape en perfekt balanse. 6. Vinen blir deretter karbonert og tappes så på flaske, får naturkork, etikett og er klar for salg med en holdbarhet på 3 år. |
